Premier League —– Manchester
City win title in miracle finish.

Manchester City became English
champions for the first time since 1968 as they beat Queens Park Rangers 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium with two injury-time goals.

Edin Dzeko equalised in the
second minute of added time and Sergio Aguero scored the deciding goal two minutes later – with five minutes having been signalled – in an extraordinary end to the season.

Pablo Zabaleta’s first goal of the
season after 39 minutes gave City the lead but it looked as if they had imploded after Djibril Cisse equalised three minutes into the second half then Jamie Mackie gave the visitors the lead on 66 minutes.

QPR were already down to 10 men at that point after Joey Barton was sent-off for elbowing Carlos Tevez, and ugly scenes following the red card resulted in the five minutes of injury time. Having held on for 25 minutes with a stoic backs-to-the-wall performance, Rangers then saw substitute Dzeko power home a close-range header.

And as Manchester United’s
players and fans waited at the
Stadium of Light with their 1-0 win over Sunderland sealed, Aguero danced into the area and fired a shot past Paddy Kenny at the near post.
Both City and United finished with 89 points, but Roberto Mancini’s side had a goal difference eight goals superior to that of Sir Alex Ferguson’s club.
